CBD vs. CBDa, what’s the difference?

CBD vs. CBDa, what’s the difference?

CBDa the abbreviation of cannabidiolic acid is one of the primary cannabinoids produced on the flowers, leaves and stems from varieties of cannabis plants. CBDa goes through a decarboxylation process (remove the carbon dioxide and hydrogen) which removes the acid leaving a compound of activated CBD.  CBDa is transform to CBD once it is heated through smoking and vaping, to get the benefits of CBDa must be in raw form, meaning it does not go through the decarboxylation  process. Some of the ways to use CBDA is through live resins, tinctures and no activated full plant extracts. One of the best therapeutic benefits from CBDA is its great anti-inflammatory properties.  Only certain strains, like AC/DC, Sour Tsunami, Cannatonic, and Harlequin, are high in CBDa. Hemp can is also a viable source of CBDa

Is CBD (cannabidiol) isolate the same as hemp oil?

Is CBD (cannabidiol) isolate the same as hemp oil?

Although CBD isolate is extracted from the hemp plant, it is not the same as hemp oil.  There is hemp oil with and without CBD; the method on how they process the plant makes the difference.  Once the hemp oil is extracted it then goes through several more steps to remove all other plant material, the end result is a fine white powder that is 99% pure with 0% THC, this is the best way to use CBD for those who want the benefits without the THC.  The powder is the most potent form of CBD that you can find on the market. The fine white powder can be used in a variety of ways including edibles and drinks. The powder is also used to make tinctures as well as several forms of the concentrates that can be used for vaporization. Isolate is great for those who need a larger dose of CBD for pain, anxiety and inflammation just to name a few.

Big Pharma brings in CBD products

Big Parma brings in CBD products

Big Parma brings in CBD products as credit card processor shuts down small CBD business processing as of May 15th. I find it interesting how this is happening at the same time they are bringing CBD into pharmacies.  CBD is considered too much of a high risk for the processor Elavon to continue processing CBD products. Small businesses, e-commerce as well as small mom and pop shops are dead in the water.  At this point they are the only processor in the states unless we want to pay outrageous fees, passing on a 7-8 dollar processing fees on top of shipping. This spells good news for consumers who will be paying less than the CBD shops and online.  Is this Big Parma gobbling up the industry? Sure looks that way.

What is CBD

What is CBD?

Cannabidiol (CBD) is a naturally occurring compound found in the resinous flower of cannabis, a plant with a rich history as a medicine going back thousands of years. Today the therapeutic properties of CBD are being tested and confirmed by scientists and doctors around the world. A safe, non-addictive substanceCBD is one of more than a hundred “phytocannabinoids,” which are unique to cannabis and endow the plant with its robust therapeutic profile.

CBD is closely related to another important medicinally active phytocannabinoid: tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the compound that causes the high that cannabis is famous for. These are the two components of cannabis that have been most studied by scientists.

Both CBD and THC have significant therapeutic attributes. But unlike THCCBD does not make a person feel “stoned” or intoxicated. That’s because CBD and THC act in different ways on different receptors in the brain and body.

CBD can actually lessen or neutralize the psychoactive effects of THC, depending on how much of each compound is consumed. Many people want the health benefits of cannabis without the high – or with less of a high.

The fact that CBD is therapeutically potent as well as non-intoxicating, and easy to take as a CBD oil, makes it an appealing treatment option for those who are cautious about trying cannabis for the first time.

How to tell if you have quality hemp oil?

How to tell if you have quality hemp oil?

How to tell if you have quality hemp oil?

Although it may be less expensive to buy hemp oil from China or India these products are not tested for purities or quality of the Hemp Oil.  Strains from outside the US or Europe are not genetically produced for high CBD content.  Because it isn’t tested and regulated like the US and Europe, we can’t be sure it wasn’t sourced from marijuana which could mean it could have a higher content of THC then the .03% allowed by law.  To be sure you are getting a quality CBD Oil research the companies. One of most important things you will need to know is, does the company do third party testing and are the lab reports available?  Most companies post the results of their testing.

Here at CBD N’ Stuff LLC we only work with companies that do third party testing with the results available to the public.  CBD Mother Nature’s Way of Feeling Better...
